Uninterrupted Growth: 5G Rollout Continues Amid Pandemic

Share Article

Amidst the global COVID-19 pandemic, the 5G cellular network infrastructure rollout has continued at a steady pace. Despite the devastating effects of the pandemic, the number of 5G deployments has significantly increased. It is important to examine why the 5G rollout remained uninterrupted during the pandemic and explore the concerns raised by health experts regarding its potential health effects.

The deployment of 5G infrastructure has witnessed exponential growth, with the number of global 5G deployments increasing from around 900 in late 2019 to over 9,000 in just over six months. These figures encompass both regular cell towers and smaller, more localized “small cell” deployments. Small cells are used to provide 5G coverage in hard-to-reach areas, including building interiors. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the expansion of 5G technology has continued unabated.

The ability to deploy 5G infrastructure without interruptions during the pandemic can be attributed, in part, to a 2018 ruling by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This ruling shifted much of the control over the approval process for 5G tower installations away from municipal governing bodies. It also stated that health concerns could not be used as a reason to halt the construction of 5G infrastructure. Consequently, the responsibility for protecting the public’s health against potential negative effects of 5G lies largely in the hands of the people rather than the government.

Despite the ongoing rollout of 5G, concerns have been raised by health experts regarding its potential health effects. Some experts argue that the long-term health impacts of prolonged exposure to 5G radiation are not yet fully understood. They advocate for further research and a precautionary approach. However, it is essential to note that numerous studies conducted so far have found no conclusive evidence linking 5G radiation to adverse health effects.

As the rollout of 5G infrastructure continues, striking a balance between technological advancement and public health becomes crucial. Recognizing the concerns raised by health experts, it is essential to prioritize ongoing research to assess any potential risks associated with 5G radiation. Government bodies and regulatory agencies should remain vigilant, ensuring that safety standards are met and actively monitoring the deployment and operation of 5G networks.

How EMF Radiation Impacts Athletic Performance

As an athlete, you’ve probably analyzed several aspects of your life and routine to optimize your performance. You may have started a regimented diet to eat more macro- and micro-nutrients to energize your body on and off the field. You may have taken more supplements or reduced your intake of alcohol to make sure you’re more hydrated. You may have taken ice baths to improve muscle inflammation and help with recovery.

However, you may be ignoring an aspect of your routine that inadvertently affects your performance — something more nefarious and hidden than you realize: EMF radiation.

Mothers Day: A Healthy Home Environment

Mother’s Day is the perfect time to create a healthy, EMF-friendly home environment to show appreciation for the women who have nurtured and cared for us. Electromagnetic fields (EMFs) produced by electronic devices such as Wi-Fi routers, cell phones, laptops, and smart appliances can cause health problems. A healthy, EMF-friendly home can be achieved by using wired connections, turning off devices when not in use, creating distance between you and your devices, using EMF protection products, and opting for natural materials. Encourage your family to unplug and disconnect, limit cell phone use, and turn off Wi-Fi at night.

Mothers Day: EMF Awareness & Education

This Mother’s Day, it’s important to focus on EMF awareness and education to protect ourselves and our loved ones. EMFs are electromagnetic fields created by electronic devices that have been linked to health problems such as cancer, infertility, and neurological disorders. By educating ourselves about the sources of EMF radiation and taking steps to minimize exposure, we can reduce the risk of developing serious health problems.
